Patron Exclusive Article: An Empathetic Plea
Biblical sympathy is the ability (not the necessity) to feel what someone else feels as well as the ability to understand how others feel. It is the capacity to feel another person’s feelings, thoughts, or attitudes vicariously, as a distinct and separate person, coming alongside a sufferer for their help and betterment.
Doxology Doctrine: Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow
This charge asserts that worship through song consists, in part, of God’s people singing words that they understand. Therefore, to worship God through singing the first line of the Doxology, one must comprehend what it means that all blessings flow from Him
God’s Work in Affliction
Anecdotally, I do not typically seek comfort when I’m comfortable. Unfortunately, when I’m comfortable, I often fail to praise God for providing such a blessing.
