To be inclined to something is to feel a willingness toward it, or be agreeably and positively disposed to it. Notice this principle: it is not just the doing that should be desired - being led by the hand.

Were Adam and Eve perfect? Well not necessarily. We are often told things in our traditions and families that aren't actually in accordance with the bible. So, it's good to reorient ourselves to the scripture and reconsider some things - especially something like this!

The Christian heritage is rich and deep, vast and wide. We should be proud of it, and exult in the work the Lord has done in times past, even up to our day, and pray that he would continue to grow his church in faith and gratitude. But the church, in every age, must not sit on its laurels, so to speak, and be content with past achievements. This is not the way new generations are grown, or wars won, or faithfulness endures.
